The American Dream is slipping away, & it’s time for change. Vote Eric Hovde for Wisconsin’s next Senator in Washington D.C. to get the USA back on course.
On November 5, one of the most important contests will be between Republican Eric Hovde and Democratic incumbent Tammy Baldwin for the U.S. Senate.
Baldwin, 62, is seeking her third six-year term. Apart from having worked briefly as an attorney, her career has been in government, first in the state legislature, then in Congress. She was born and raised in Madison, and is the first openly gay woman to have been elected to Congress.
Hovde, 59, the Republican challenger, is CEO of Hovde Properties, a real-estate development company, and H Bancorp, which operates community banks. He is co-founder of the Hovde Foundation, which supports research into multiple sclerosis (a disease Hovde has had since 1991) and builds homes for vulnerable children. Eric is from Madison, and is married, with two daughters and three grandchildren.
The Issues
Baldwin consistently receives high scores from left-wing organizations, including NARAL, Planned Parenthood, People for the American Way, and big unions. She calls “pocketbook costs” and “fentanyl” major issues, yet ignores how the Biden-Harris administration’s policies fuel inflation and the influx of drugs.
Eric Hovde advocates bringing federal deficit spending under control, physically securing our border, reclaiming America’s position as a strong global leader, and fixing our broken healthcare system. He brings a wealth of real-world experience: as a businessman, banker, housing developer, philanthropist, and a person dealing with a chronic disease. Watch an extended interview with Eric here.
Going In the Wrong Direction
In the most recent polling, 69.9% of Americans believe that the country is headed in the wrong direction, outnumbering those who believe we’re on the right track by more than 2-to-1.
Nevertheless, Senate majority leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) plans to accelerate the Biden-Harris administration’s radical agenda. Among other actions, Schumer plans to:
End the Senate filibuster.
Support the Harris spending agenda, estimated to cost $2 trillion.
Support Harris’s proposed price controls, calling them “a good thing to do,” despite their being widely criticized by liberals.
Implement a federal takeover of elections.
“Reform” the Supreme Court, ending the Court as an independent judicial body.
Do “more” on climate change. What “more” means is unclear, except that there will be lots of it.
Schumer—with Baldwin’s help—would push our nation in the wrong direction further, and faster.
Protect Our Nation
Tammy Baldwin is “proud” to have supported the Biden-Harris agenda 95.5% of the time. If re-elected, she will back Schumer’s radical agenda unquestioningly.
To protect the country from Schumer and his fellow radicals, we must deny them a majority in the Senate. This means replacing Tammy Baldwin with the moderate Republican Eric Hovde, a man grounded in the world outside Washington, who will bring experience and insight to the Senate.
This November, do the nation and Wisconsin a service: Elect Eric Hovde to the Senate!
